MASDAR CITY
Masdar is a planned city in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. It is a truly utopian initiative by the Government of Abu Dhabi. Designed by the British architectural firm Foster + Partners, the city will rely entirely on solar energy and other renewable energy sources, with a sustainable, zero-carbon, zero-waste ecology. The city is being constructed 17 kilometres (11 mi) east-south-east of the city of Abu Dhabi, beside Abu Dhabi International Airport.

CASTRUM
Another nice movie about city planning. The mayor of this fictional city states "the city is a thing too important for putting into the hands of architects" and thus concludes "You plan the city!"

T?F presents: Visionary Cities
The Why Factory (T?F) concentrates on the production of models and visualizations for future cities, and recently published their first book in the 'Future Cities Series': Visionary Cities
"Are we having too much fun? Are our dreams undermining the city? Has everything been done before? Is our future being imagined without us? Most importantly: What is an urban vision and why do we need one? In Visionary Cities, The Why Factory asks these questions and invites you to join them as they explore potential solutions for these and many more urgencies that are threatening our cities today"
